[Wireless Case Study] Wireless Communication Between Robot Hand and Controller
A customized case of developing a proprietary wireless communication protocol for robotic hands.
We would like to introduce a case where wireless communication was implemented among the many achievements our company has accomplished. We received a request from a robot system integrator stating, "To monitor the opening and closing state of the robot hand attached to the end of the robot arm with a controller, we are currently sending signals to the controller via a cable. However, if the cable breaks, the robot will stop, so we want to reduce the risk of stopping by making the cable wireless." We made this a reality. 【Details】 - We developed and verified a configuration where a transmitter is connected to the robot hand and a receiver is connected to the controller. However, since the environment has many factors that can affect wireless communication, we independently developed a wireless communication protocol specifically for the robot hand. - By repeatedly verifying and tuning the wireless communication, we achieved reliable wireless communication between the robot hand and the controller. - To make it easy for the customer to handle the transmitter, we designed the housing with consideration for easy attachment to the robot hand and ease of setting the wireless channel. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
